April 2024 Walks

Relaxed Walk - Wednesday 10th April

It’s 2pm Meeting at the entrance to Tesco’s Car Park then walking up Ladcastle Road past the Golf Club and on down into Uppermill.

Stopping for refreshments at Kobe and walking back along the canal towpath.

The route is all on roads or paths. A few hills along the way too.

Big Walk – Tuesday 16th April

We will meet at the car park on Hartley Street, Millbrook.

Drive through Millbrook at the traffic lights turn left in front of what was once the Royal Oak pub (now a house). This is Hartley Street. Parking on the left.

Walk is approx. 2 hours, approx. 6 miles. We will walk to the top (4th reservoir).

No toilets or cafe facilities on the walk.

First half walking up to the top. 

On the way back (subject to ground facilities) we pass by a farm that has an honesty box selling eggs £1.50 for 1/2 dozen.

Reminder However well behaved and adorable, dogs (except assistance dogs) are not allowed on our walks.
